Turned into Nature
Today, at Doyle’s farm, birds sing a symphony, actually kinda loud, as Doyle’s peacocks show off their tail feathers and Jackie, as she has for most of her life, tends her plants. Her home is now surrounded by gardens with tall trees and shrubs. Birders travel to her farm to watch the birds she has attracted with her plantings.
Locating Locally Grown Plants
Flower catalogs are well traveled at a cost to the environment. As are the intensely packaged plants that will arrive on your doorstep at proper planting time if you buy via mail order. With a little of your gardener’s patience, you can reduce your carbon footprint and support local growers by waiting for spring and finding those interesting plants grown locally.
