Meet my REAL Garden

There is nothing more beautiful than growing food for your family. I plan to grow the beans up the corn stalks adding a morning glory here and there. I know my immediate neighbors will continue to love my “mini-farm” but my hope is that other neighbors will see how pretty vegetable gardens can be.

Caring for Winter Damaged Shrubs and Trees

Initially, in many cases all that can be done is prune the broken branches out, always cutting back to a lateral branch or growing point. This, with proper mulching and fertilization will allow the plant the best opportunity to respond with new growth.

I like to place blame elsewhere as much as anyone else. But sometimes one of my plants takes a dirt nap, and it really wasn’t me. It’s was plant. Really. The Perennial Plant Association promotes gardening success stories annually by naming one – almost fool proof plant – it’s perennial plant of the year.
