Backyard Biodiversity

For Wordless Wednesday…  Four years of intensive planting, lots of native plants and no chemicals, have made my backyard a haven for creatures of all types.  Nice thing is – they balance each other.  I’m not over run by any plant chewing things.  If nature is left to her own devices…  there is harmony.   All these images were taken in my garden this year.  I haven’t managed to photograph the snakes or make new images of wasps and other beneficials. 

Of course, my chickens also help to balance the bugs and fertilize my crazy garden.  A garden-  with the jewels of diversity like these new garden mates – shines so brightly.
