Lancaster Garden Tour Saturday

The Lancaster Garden Tour Benefit's Daniel's Den

Wow, how quickly a week goes by….the Lancaster Garden Tour is TOMORROW!  Today we are going to visit the last 3 sites on the tour – the first one being such a “Secret Garden” that we were not even permitted to visit until the tour began.  647 North School Lane is a project by Erb Brothers Landscaping Inc.  Erb Brothers tell us the garden is complete with natural stone and brick hardscaping elements, water features and garden sculptures.  I am definitely intrigued. www.lancastergardentour.com

Next we travel to the Centerville area, 1057 Chapel Forge Drive by River Valley Landscapes, Inc.  Pergola covered paths guide you to a wonderful outdoor space, complete with an outdoor fireplace with stone and brick details.  Plant accents like a yellow Hakone Grass caught my attention, as did the screen planting that created a nestled in feeling.  Stop here first – and bring your cup of coffee – so you can sit back on the outdoor sofa and relax by the fire.

Last, we bring you Daniel’s Den Playground, just south of Mountville.  Daniel’s Den is a local community-built and supported park, where all children, regardless of ability, can play and learn together.  Be sure to bring the kids and pack a lunch as this park provides hours of enjoyment – at least it does for my daughter.

Remember to check out our raffle at the terrific garden at 1030 Bluestone Drive.  We are lucky enough to have great prizes to give away!  We have a lovely plant collections from Highland Gardens, an awesome gift of garden goodies and gift certificate from the Gardener of the Owl Valley,  two gift bags from PL Rohrers Seed, and a hyper tufa trough  and a basket busting with plants from Punk Rock Gardens.
