Lancaster Garden Tour Preview

Each day this week, we’ll share with you a preview of the Lancaster Garden Tour.Today, we start with Erb Brothers, at 335 Rock Hill Road

.
It’s all in the details for this Millersville property.  6’x6’ stone slabs announcing the entranceway, beautiful natural stone mantle on the outdoor fireplace, and carefully selected masses of plantings make the visitor feel very comfortable and welcome.  I could have spent the afternoon there with a bottle of wine watching the dogs romp about the yard.

Next, it’s  Tomlinson Bomberger at 1069 New Holland Avenue.
A private oasis – walking through the privacy gate I never would have expected the beautiful sunken garden that we stumbled upon.  An outdoor sofa provides the perfect spot for an afternoon nap, with the sound of a nearby waterfall in the background.  The waterfall was nicely done with a wonderful tapestry of groundcover plants used to provide a naturalistic appearance.

Finally, for today, it’s Clean Cut, Inc., at 1520 Lampeter Road
Pool party!  This happenin’ garden includes a great little outdoor kitchen perfect for summer weekends.  The waterfall into the pool doubles as a hot tub and the area is surrounded with a beautiful custom privacy fence combined with stucco/brick privacy walls.  Leaving the pool area you will find a small fish pond and concrete paver walkways.   http://www.lancastergardentour.com/
