Manada Conservancy's Native Plant Sale
by Laura Mathews · April 28, 2010
Spring is flying by and May snuck up on me. One of my favorite events is THIS weekend.
The Manada Conservancy’s Native Plant Sale is Saturday, May 1rst. This is the 10th annual plant sale held to raise funds for the conservancy. The sale is again at the lovely Meadowood Nursery near Hummelstown, PA. The plants offered are a wide variety of top quality native plants.
Get this, you can bring beauty to your garden by purchasing native plants, then those plants benefit wildlife in your garden, and the profits from the sale benefit the Manada Conservancy which fights to preserve natural areas. Yep, benefitting nature again.
Benefit nature and get the chance to learn about mycorrhizal fungi. Meadowood is hosting an 11:00 a.m. talk Dr. Roger Tai Koide, Professor of Horticultural Ecology at Penn State University called ‘The Hidden World of Mycorrhizal Fungi.’ I’m there. See you at Meadowood.
Check out Purchasing Plants for Preservation for more reasons to visit the sale.
